That's me, by Madelaine Duff

My mom worked as a food stylist in Montreal in the 1990s. This was long before I would pick up a camera for the first time, but perhaps the starting point always a camera within reach these days. I was always encouraged to follow my curiosity from a very young age, something that I will forever be grateful for.
Imagemaking for me started with convincing my a parents to get a point-and-shoot camera for 'the family'. That would simply be my gateway drug into the world of photography. I started documenting my friends skiing on and off the slopes of Ontario, shooting portraits of the land wherever it peaked my interest, and eventually dove into events and portraiture during my undergrad in the big city. That very same Canon SD750 camera still sits in my pocket to this day.
Storytelling guides my photography whether it be for a global campaign for your faviourite outdoor brand or documenting friends being friends. I would love to chat story with you and see where it takes us.
Sincerely,
- Max
